    I don't remember the brand, but I remember when I bought a
    card that was an FM radio. :-)

    I once bought a TV card for my PC. Never even plugged it in but it is still around here somewhere...

    20+ years ago I had a couple TV tuner cards in a media PC, and my cable company at the time worked with me so I had the right devices so I could record whatever I wanted from TV.

    Then the TiVo started to become popular, and the cable company started to "rent" their own DVR devices, so support for doing crazy shit like that ended, because it didn't make them any money.

    Google bought up the company that produced the TV Tuner/media software I used (SageTV) and buried it. They didn't incorporate any of its features into anything, they just stopped allowing it to be updated or downloaded in any form.

    I would have loved to see what that software would have turned into over the past couple decades.

    I bought a TV/radio card for my PC in 1999 which didn't work very well. But now I have a TV tuner card in my Linux media server PC which I use with Plex, and it works very well. I also have a network TV tuner, a HDHomerun Flex 4K, and it also works well.

    i've always liked tv cards. even wrote a (somewhat embarrassing) article for the OS/2 eZine about using a wintv card in OS/2:
